Solar farm
Huntingdonshire District Council has said it will oppose the proposed Haddon Road Solar Park at appeal.
An application is lodged for a project that would involve 100,000 solar panels on land near Thorney.
A planning inspector will decide whether the Haddon Road Solar Park can be built, but councillors at Huntingdonshire District Council will still have a chance to have their say.
A new solar farm could be built on farmland between Royston and Melbourn if new plans are approved by South Cambridgeshire District Council.
Developers have been given the go ahead to build a new solar farm in the countryside, despite fears about the "dramatic impact" it could have on people living nearby.
Some councillors were concerned about the impact the plans would have on the rural area. The proposals say the solar panels will be removed after 40 years and farming can then resume at the site.
