Solar farm
Developers have been given the go ahead to build a new solar farm in the countryside, despite fears about the "dramatic impact" it could have on people living nearby.
Some councillors were concerned about the impact the plans would have on the rural area. The proposals say the solar panels will be removed after 40 years and farming can then resume at the site.
Campaigners have highlighted concerns about the scale and location of the proposed Kingsway Solar Farm
Wessex Solar Energy said its plans for a smaller solar farm would not ‘unacceptably impact’ the area.
